Somalia’s Foreign Affairs Minister had a special meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, Rade Basta


The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abshir Omar Jama Huruuse, who is on a working trip to Serbia, had a special meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, Rade Basta.

The meeting was focused on the relationship between the two countries and Friendship such as Political, Economic and Business integration.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia praised the Somali people for business activity and job creation. Modern method of collecting taxes known as (E-Government).

Foreign Minister XFS Abshir Omar Huruuse said that they will benefit from the Serbian government’s experience in economic creation, and the two countries will cooperate in economic development.

The two sides agreed to exchange economic experts from the two countries who will go to the cities of Mogadishu and Belgrade.

Serbia’s Role in Somalia AID

Serbia is currently playing a significant in the supporting the Somali government tackle the drought affected areas. Somali Embassy in Serbia thanked the Serbian Government in its involvement on helping the Somali people in time of drought crises. saying on twitter post.

Somalia’s Foreign Affairs Policy

In recent years, Somalia has taken several steps to strengthen its strong ties with other countries. Somali is currently recovering from long wars and droughts that were holding the country back.
