A khat trader woman was killed this evening in Karaan district, Banadir region.
The woman is said to have been killed by a police officer from Hirshabelle regional government. The officer who was named Osman Adole shot dead the woman after a short quarrel at a local khat market.
It is said that the two argued for a short while before the officer fired bullets on the woman and she died on the spot. It is unclear what the two disagreed upon.
Residents have confirmed this incident to the local Radio stations.
The Police in Karaan district arrived at the scene to carry out investigations. Sources reveal that the police have nabbed the officer who shot the woman dead.
