Somalia People’s Assembly Engages in Productive Discussions on Legislative Agenda

The Chairman of the Parliament, Mr. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madobobe), along with the Speaker of the Upper House, Mr. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, and the deputies of the People’s Assembly, gathered today at the Center of the Committee and Committees of the People’s Assembly in Villa Hargeisa. Their primary focus was on accelerating the agenda for the 11th Somali Parliament.

During the meeting, the two Houses of the Federal Republic of Somalia Parliament, along with the organizers and secretaries of both houses, reached a mutual agreement to tackle the third session’s legislative tasks and other important national matters. Key priorities included finalizing the amendment review of the Temporary Constitution, addressing the agreements established by the National Consultation Forum, and advancing crucial aspects of the country’s governance process.

Turksom Military Training School Collaborates with Somalia’s Foreign Relations Office

Mr. Mohamed Hassan, the Director of Foreign Relations and International Organizations, held a meeting with the Turksom Military Training School in Somalia to discuss military training assistance. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Local Government of Hamar Turksom and military training, including fire drill presentations by the Fire Department of the Local Government of Hamar and Turksom.

Security Acceleration and Preparations for Celebrations Addressed in Special Meeting

A special meeting chaired by the Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madale), took place at the headquarters of the General Division of the Somali Police Force. The meeting aimed to expedite security measures in the capital and make preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Adha and Freedom Week celebrations.

Attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Security and Politics of Banadir Administration, the Commander of the General Division of the Banadir Region of the Somali Police Force, the Commander of the General Division of the Banadir Region of the Security Forces and National Intelligence, military police officers, district commissioners, and other officials, the meeting provided an opportunity for the Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu to present a security report on the capital.

During the gathering, officials shared the successes of joint operations conducted by the armed forces and discussed the necessary measures to ensure a safe and joyous celebration of Eid al-Adha and the upcoming Independence Day.

Mayor of Mogadishu Emphasizes Strengthened Security Measures

Concluding the meeting, Mayor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madale) instructed security officers and district governors to enhance security activities in collaboration with the public. Their collective efforts would focus on preparing for the upcoming Freedom Week celebrations and Eid al-Adha.
