Iranian Prosecutors are seeking to executed a number of people in the military and nuclear institutions those who were arrested last year in suspect related to spying for the United States, according to state media.
Iran said in August it had arrested “dozens of spies” of government agencies, many of whom are citizens of other countries. Iran launched a military strike in June, which was accused of spying for the CIA in the United States. Iranian judiciary spokesman, Gholamhossein Esmaili claims today that suspects arrested in less than a year ago to face murder charges by a military court. “Two of the defendants, not just military, were sentenced to a long time prison,” said Esmaili, without giving details.
The development comes amid rising tensions between Iran and the US, Tehran has said it has exceeded its limit of the enriched-uranium.
