Appreciation Of Action
As Somalia prepares to celebrate its National Day, 01 July 2025 the 65th anniversary. a quiet but powerful act of patriotism has emerged not through grand speeches or military parades, but through the simple strokes of a paintbrush in the hands of a dedicated volunteer.
In the early hours of the morning, when the city still sleeps and the streets lie bare, a member from the PWDs Persons with disabilities (Hearing Impairment) on 26 June 2025, is seen painting the roads with the colors of the Somali flag. With each careful line of blue and white, this individual brings not just color, but pride, unity, and hope to the community. The paint may dry, but the impact of this gesture lasts far longer.
On this National Day, we not only celebrate Somalia’s independence and resilience, but we also celebrate those who carry its spirit forward through simple, meaningful actions. Thank you, Mr. Mohamed Osman Mohudin, for reminding us that patriotism is painted not only on the streets, but in our hearts.
