Director of NISA Mahad Salad paid a short visit to Addis Ababa

The director of the National Intelligence Agency NISA Mahad Mohamed Salad arrived in Ethiopia and Bole International in Addis Ababa welcomed his Ethiopian counterpart.

The Director’s trip will last for two days and the parties will discuss the strengthening of relations, the exchange of information on terrorism and the fight against the Al-Shabaab group. The visit of the NISA Commander is related to the invitation he received from his counterpart in Ethiopia.

The intelligence agencies of Somalia and Ethiopia recently signed an agreement in Mogadishu and agreed to continue joint efforts to prevent terrorism. The two sides agreed that it is necessary to prevent the spread of terrorism in East Africa and that it is appropriate to cooperate together.

The operation Gagaduud region

The Somali National Army, with the help of local people and their international friends, carried out a joint operation in El Gorof area of Gagaduud region, killing more than 50 members of Al-Shabaab, according to a press release from DF.

“The operation, which was very planned, destroyed the bases of the Khawarij in the area of El Gorof, and the National Army and the local people collected 31 of the bodies of the Khawarij who were killed in the operation. 47 members of the Khawarij Al-Shabaab were killed in an attack by the National Intelligence and Security Service and international friends in the fields of Geshaan area in Basra area of the Lower Shabelle region.
