The King of Saudi Arabia has reshuffled the country’s top positions.

In recent years, the King of Saudi Arabia has been making changes that have been noticed around the world, and now he has started to change the royal family and the positions in the country. appointed the Prime Minister of the kingdom, while his second son Amir Khalid was appointed as the Minister of Defense, according to a decree issued by the kingdom on Tuesday.

In this reshuffle, another son, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, was made the minister of energy, as the old king said in the royal decree, which was broadcast by the SPA news agency.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Jadaan and the Minister of Investment Khalid al-Falih have returned to their positions, according to this circular.

The heir apparent, known as MbS, was promoted to defense minister and was the de facto leader of the world’s largest oil exporter and America’s greatest ally in the Middle East.

A Saudi official said that the new position of the Prime Minister is in line with the previous duties and responsibilities of the King, which include representing the Kingdom on foreign visits and chairing meetings hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Khalid bin Salman, MbS’s younger brother, previously served as deputy defense minister.
